Dream Volcano Surfing?
Dream Volcano Surfing?
"I have only one life to live, and I am aching all over to go to these places one by one to enjoy volcano boarding. I wouldn't let anyone or anything stop me from living this amazing dream!"
I dream of traveling and visiting volcano-laden places in the world wherein I can enjoy one of my favorite activities - volcano surfing or volcano boarding. It is an exciting dream which I want to do several times, in different places, in my lifetime. The sporting activity wherein I trek up a volcano's sides. Later, I slide down on a piece of plywood or a metal board called volcano surfing or volcano boarding. There are many places for Volcano surfing worldwide to choose from with volcanic landscapes wherein I can enjoy doing to the hilt this dream of mine:
Cerro Negro - Located near Leon in Western Nicaragua. Volcano surfers like me like to slide down, either sitting or standing, on our chosen board - which can be plywood or metal. But I should be cautious because Cerro Negro is still an active volcano and its last eruption was in 1999 yet. But the excitement of my dream is too much that I still want to go and slide down its famous slopes. Still, I should heed the government geologists' warnings if there is an impending eruption being forecasted.
Mount Yasur - Volcano boarding is also being practiced on this volcano's premises located in Tanna, Vanuatu. It was actually here where the volcano surfing sport was invented by National Geographic Channel adventurer Zoltan Istvan in 2002. I dream of sliding down the slopes here, too, even though it is even more dangerous because Mount Yasur has volcanic eruptions happening every day.
Mount Bromo - This volcano is located in Indonesia. This dream of mine to visit this place to do volcano boarding would be fun if I go with a group because we should all be awake by 1:30 am to make the whole trip up the slopes of the volcano and then slide down its slopes well before sunset. Bromo's last eruption happened only in 2011. If I'm there, I could still identify a temple near Bromo that is still covered in ash. Because it's still active, despite the fun of sliding down its slopes, I always heed the geologists' warning if there is an eruption predicted. I have only one life to live, and I am aching all over to go to these places one by one to enjoy volcano boarding. I wouldn't let anyone or anything stop me from living this amazing dream!
